A recent documentary was aired in Australia about bacteriophages – viruses that parasitize bacteria and can be used to treat antibiotic-resistant infections. Titled Last Chance to Save a Life, this Genepool Productions documentary features teams of scientists from Melbourne and Sydney, led by Professors Anton Peleg and Jon Iredell. The documentary shows the team, in real time, combatting patients’ diseases with bacteriophages. The film was produced by Anna Mantzoros and Sonya Pemberton, and directed by Emma Watts.
